NS Cash Adult Affilate Program

So you're looking to make big piles of cash as an Adult Webmaster? You have come to the right place. My name is John, and I have been in the adult industry for just over one year. I created this site to share with you the things that I have learned along the way and hopefully get you on your way to making some money. Why not get started by reading some of the articles that I have written to help you. Learn the basics first and go from there.

Getting Surfers To Your Blog With Pings

If you are using Wordpress or another full featured blog application, you have the ability to automaticly notify or ping services to let them know you have new posts on your blog by sending an XMLRPC ping.

NOTE: You will want to check the root domain of each service to make sure your site complies with their terms of service. Some sites may be in a language other than english and/or may not list adult content. Some may also require you to register your site before sending pings.

XMLRPC Pingable Addresses

The following list of pingable addresses can be inserted into your Update Services box within your Wordpress Options/Writing tab.

NOTE: If you are using a freehosted blog and do not have the ability to ping when you post, you can still ping these services with StarPinger, a great free tool from the people over at Thumblogger.

If you know of any new ping sites or sites that are not listed here, feel free to leave a comment so I can update the list. Also if you run one of these services and choose not to have adult blogs pinging your site, let me know and I will remove your listing. I have left the list complete because many of us run mainstream blogs as well as adult blogs.

Blogging For Dollars Part Three

In Blogging For Dollars Part One we discussed free hosting options for beginner bloggers. Following up in Blogging For Dollars Part Two we talked about getting your own hosting and setting up Wordpress. Today we will go more in depth about making posts with your new adult blog and getting some free traffic to your site.

Before you get started posting, I mentioned in Part Two of Blogging For Dollars that there are a few thing in your Wordpress Admin that you need to attend to.

Add Interactivity To Your Blog By Enabling User Comments.

The first thing you will want to look at is your settings for “comments” on your blog. The comments feature allows people to interact with your blog by commenting on your posts. This is a great way to get repeat visitors to your site. You can setup some spam protection features as well as how much control you will have over the comments people post to your site. You will find these settings after logging into your Wordpress Dashboard and clicking on “Options” and then on “Discussion.”

If You Ping Them, They Will Come.

The next thing you will want to check out is the “Update Services” box under the Options/Writing tab in your Wordpress dashboard. This is where the free traffic comes in. “Update Services” means that every time you make a post to your blog, the Wordpress software will send an xmlrpc ping to various news aggregators, depending on how many services you add to the options. News aggregators are various websites that keep track of the blogosphere. They constantly update with the newest posts from blogs all over the world, based on the pings that they receive. This keeps new content right at a web surfers fingertips as soon as it is available. A great concept!

There are tons of news aggregators that accept xmlrpc pings, however there are some conditions that apply. Many news aggregators simply will not list adult blogs, and some require you to register your blog before you can start sending pings. You will want to check the main page of each ping site to see if it is worth putting in your Update Services tab. One service you will want to make sure you ping is Technorati. If you do not abuse this service, you will get lots of high quality traffic to your adult blog with little effort.

Here is a list of XMLRPC Ping Addresses you can look through and add to Wordpress.

Smart Update Pinger

I also recommend that you install a plugin that will aid you in the pinging process. By default, Wordpress pings whenever you make a new post AND when you make changes to existing posts. Some news aggregators can interpret this as spam and will remove your site from it’s listings. Smart Update Pinger remedies this by ONLY pinging services when you make a new post. Just upload this great plugin to your wp-content/plugins directory and activate it through the Plugins tab in your Wordpress Admin. This plugin is synced with the Update Services box in your Wordpress Options/Writing tab.

Tagging Your Posts And Categories

Services such as Technorati will list your blog posts on their site in categories called “Tags.” You will want to make sure your posts are listed in relevant Tags. In your Wordpress Options under the “Manage” tab, you will find a section for categories. Every time you make a new post to your blog you will be able to select which category or categories to insert the post into. For instance if you have a boob related blog, your categories might be; Big Boobs, Saggy Boobs, Hard Nipples, etc… Technorati and other sites will look at what category your post is in and list the post under the corresponding Tag on their site, so it makes sense to create sensible category names. In other words, a category named Big Boobs will get better results than one named Big Melons. More people are gonna search for boobs than they are melons. Get the picture? You can put your post in as many categories as you want, but don’t go too crazy. Too many categories may also be seen as spam.

Another way to tag your posts so that Technorati will list your post under that tag is by using the rel=”tag” attribute. Example: if your post is related to Natural Breasts, but you don’t have a category on your blog with that title, use the following code:

<a href=”http://technorati.com/tag/Natural+Breasts” rel=”tag”>Natural Breasts</a>

The Technorati Bot will see that your post is related to Natural Breasts and list it under that tag on technorati.com. Make sure you add the “+” between two word tags. Don’t leave a blank space in the URL. Again I recommend you use this method of tagging sparingly. You do not want to get your blog blacklisted from Technorati.

NOTE: Again let me tell you to make sure you go over your Wordpress Dashboard with a finetooth comb before you start posting. If you have any questions about the functions or options in Wordpress, visit the Wordpress Documentation and the Wordpress Support Forums. You may want to look these over even if you don’t have any questions. There is tons of good info to be found.

If you have any questions feel free to leave a comment and I will respond shortly. In the following article I will list lots of possible xmlrpc ping addresses and a few places to submit your blog to get you some traffic rolling.

Blogging For Dollars Part Two

In Blogging For Dollars Part One we discussed some options for hosting your new adult blog for free. While this is a great place to start, eventually you will want to host your own blogs. This is where Wordpress and other blog applications come in.

After you have gotten yourself a good adult web hosting company like Lela Hosting or Dream Host, (There are tons of adult hosting companies out there, but I personally host my sites with these guys and have found them to be very reliable.) you will need to setup some sort of blogging software on your server. Running a blog is not quite as simple as just building an HTML page and FTPing it to your host, but it’s also not as complicated as you may think.

Wordpress, The Professional Adult Blog Platform

There are several blogging platforms you can use, but I recommend Wordpress because it is very user friendly and it has endless customization options through the use of themes and plugins. It is also the most widely used blog software on the planet. You will have to setup a mySQL database and user on your web server, but this is extremely simple and the Wordpress Installation Guide will aid you right through the process.

Once you have your mySQL database setup and you have successfully uploaded and installed Wordpress, you may want to browse through some Wordpress themes. These themes can easily be integrated into Wordpress and will give your adult blog some style. That’s not all, you have total control of you new Wordpress blog. Assuming you have some knowledge of HTML and hopefully CSS, you can further customize your theme. Tweak the layout, change the colors and fonts, add your own images, the possibilities are endless. Before you make any posts, be sure to explore your Wordpress Admin pages extensively. There are alot of options you will want to set before you expose your blog to the porn hungry masses.

Ok, so you have a few things to play with now. In the next article we will discuss some things you need to know about posting, things you can do to get free traffic to your site, and some great ways to turn your new adult blog into a money maker.

Converting Unprofitable Traffic Into Sales

Many traditional adult webmaster affiliate programs will pay you a flat per-signup referral commission. And others will pay you a percentage of the signup and all rebills for the life of the customer. This second payout options is called recurring revenue. Generally the industry standard for recurring revenue is 50% and the high and low end of the spectrum is 80% and 35% respectively. While many of these affiliate programs will make you plenty of money, there are alternatives that can often convert otherwise unprofitable traffic.

Do you have a site that just won’t make any sales? We all have had a site like that at one time or another. The question is, do we continue running traditional advertising for traditional adult sites on these pages and hope to make some sales soon? Do we think about getting traffic from new and better sources? Or, do we try something else to turn a profit on these surfers that don’t like to get out the credit card? Getting higher quality traffic is always an option, but I opt for the third choice.

What I do is change out all those adult sponsor ads that require the surfer to pay for a full price membership and give them something that they can join for a dollar, or better yet, give them a site they can join for free! Oh yes, there are plenty of programs out there that will pay you for members that join their sites for free. Don’t expect to get paid $25 per signup with these alternative programs, it just doesn’t work like that. What you can expect is a program that normally converts a click into a sale much better than traditional programs.

One of my favorite programs to use in this situation is the Free XXX Mags and All Access Passes from CE Cash. Both of these programs at CE Cash require nothing more than a valid email address for the surfer to get access to the members area. A thrifty surfer is much more apt to submit his or her email address rather than a credit card number. The Free XXX Mags Program pays you $1.50 for each signup and the All Access Pass Program pays $1.30 per signup. Why the difference in payout? This is because with the All Access Passes, there are no deductions. Even if the surfer cancels his membership right away, you still receive your commission.

For more alternative revenue programs, visit my Creative Money Makers page. You’ll find more ways than one to make money in tough circumstances.
